David and Victoria Beckham are having gold casts made of daughter Harper's hands and feet.
The soccer star and the fashion designer welcomed the little girl into the world on July 10 and wanted to mark her arrival with a special memento so the couple - who already have three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, together - had a £1000 (NZ$1800) kit sent to their Californian home to make the keepsake of their daughter's tiny fingers and toes and Victoria has now sent the moulds back to London firm First Impressions.
A family friend told The Sun newspaper: "Harper is so precious and such a beautiful little girl they wanted a physical representation of how she is now, just a few weeks after her birth. David and Victoria can't stop smiling and are the proudest parents on Earth."
Baby Harper has been inundated with gifts since she was born and she is about to add one more after Victoria's friend Eva Longoria asked upmarket Los Angeles toy store American Girl to design one of their dolls for the tot.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Eva thought it would be the perfect first gift for Victoria's new daughter Harper."
