KEY POINTS:
The Selwyn Ballet has continued its famous tradition at Otago University's capping week by performing to packed houses every night.
Since 1928 the ballet has been performed mostly by first year students, and this year 53 young men donned tutu's and dancing shoes to perform to a medley of famous tunes.
The lead dancers are second year experts Tasman Gilles and Devon Lotoa who along with the other young men, held over 25 practices in preparation for the capping week show.
The big break for the ballet is the opportunity to dance to a packed Carisbrook Stadium before the Springbok v All Blacks test match on July 12th.
