"People didn't want to believe we were really together in the first place. And even now, the number of people who think we are on holiday for the media, just to keep up appearances, is quite hilarious," Rice tells this week's edition of
Woman's Day.
Rice, who bested Dani Robinson to win Green's heart on the TV3 reality show, told WD that even three months after the end of the show the couple were still pestered by disbelievers.

"People still comment on our social media pages, things like, 'They must still be under contract and that's why they're posting pictures.'
"It pisses me off at times. Like, what more do you want? It's coming from us that we're still together. But we are so happy together, we really couldn't care."
Green told WD that rumours they were no longer together were "weird".
The pair no longer felt "like that couple from that TV show" any more, he said.

"I feel like I know the real Mattie now and she knows the real me, and weirdly, it feels like we've known each other forever ... we do normal every day things, like coffee and Danishes on Sunday mornings, cook for each other and go to the movies."
