Art Green's undies were to blame for viewers missing out on the first real kiss on The Bachelor NZ.
Green told Remix Magazine that stripping off for a midsummer dip with make-up artist Amanda meant his first onscreen kiss breached the TV3 reality show's nudity policy and had to becut.

"They couldn't show it on screen because we'd been drinking and there's also a law that you can't be seen in underwear on the show. If they were Speedos it would've been fine.
"Just as she kissed me we got pummeled by a massive wave, which was hilarious too, so they were pretty pissed they couldn't show that on television!
And he reveals, there was another kiss never captured by the cameras.
"I also kissed Nat off camera too, actually."
Despite sharing Art's first onscreen kiss, 29-year-old Amanda didn't last the distance, sent home in the first few weeks of the show in a double elimination.
Green admits TV3 also cut almost all conversation that wasn't "content-related", including most of the joking.
Bachelor contestant Amanda was Green's first onscreen kiss.
Green identified humour as the most important quality he looks for in a girlfriend.
"It's such a personality thing. For me, it's humour. I'm really drawn to humour and confidence. I really like someone that's confident even when meeting people for the first time."
However he stresses the importance of women having "high standards" in dating - perhaps where runner-up Dani lost out, who described her chequered romantic past as "a bunch of a**holes."
Green said if he had met winner and current girlfriend Maltilda Rice in different circumstances, she still would've caught his eye.
"I would have 100 per cent pursued it through."
