TV personality Jeremy Wells and his model girlfriend are having a newsbaby.
The former Eating Media Lunch frontman confirmed yesterday that he and his long-time partner Tulsi Bramley's baby was due in January.
It is early days so he doesn't want to say too much in case "he jinxes things".
"I don't know the sex I just want it to be okay," he said. "I don't want to put a hex on it. It is not newsworthy."
Wells, who is extremely private, is working on a new TV show "about birds" after a trip to his life coach made him realise hassling celebrities on late night television was tedious.
Bramley works for Standard Issue, her father's knitwear company. She also does modelling work for Clyne Management, and like Wells, trained as a journalist at Auckland University of Technology in 2003.
The controversial cricket fanatic - who in November 2008 was accosted by 15 Gore locals at a petrol station, 10 years after he and Mikey Havoc hailed Gore as the gay capital of New Zealand - describes his new TV role for Birdland, to be screened later this year, as between "David Attenbrough" and "Big Bird".
