We all know that Marvel fans are a passionate bunch, but it seems that some of them are struggling to separate fiction from reality.
Chris Pratt plays Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the recently released Avengers: Infinity War and his CHARACTER does something rather upsetting.
But rather than blame the scriptwriters for the upsetting plot twist, some fans are attacking Pratt personally and have blasted the actor on his Instagram account.
If you haven't seen it yet and don't give a damn about it being spoiled, here's what happens in Avengers: Infinity War:
Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) meet up with Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) on Thanos' home planet Titan.
Here, they hatch a daring plan; subdue Thanos, and pry off the Infinity Gauntlet, which has the power to destroy half the universe should all Infinity Stones be collected.
Just as our heroes are about to prove successful, Peter Quill finds out that Thanos murdered Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the woman he loves. Filled with rage, he attacks the supervillain, who then manages to break loose and get the Time Stone, the second-last Infinity Stone he needs, from Dr Strange.
Thanos then goes to earth, gets the Mind Stone and clicks his fingers which kills half the universe. Heroes, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Groot, Peter Parker, Peter Quill, Dr Strange, T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman), Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) then crumble into dust.
In other words — they're all killed.

Livid that Star-Lord was partly responsible for the death of some of the Marvel characters, here's a sample of the angry messages that fans have sent to Chris Pratt on Instagram:
*• "Why did you ruin everything in Infinity War you fool! The glove was almost off!"
*• "Screw you Star-Lord, they would have gotten the Gauntlet off Thanos if you didn't get too emotional. You f***ed it all up!"
*• "Damn you. We almost had the gauntlet off. You selfish sob. You killed have the universe. Damn you Peter."
*• "You f***ed the whole movie up!!!"
*• "Dude I love you and all but what in the world was that on Infinity War? I'm so mad with you. Star-Lord did nothing but screw up things ... what in the world was that Chris?"
*• "I HATE YOU! You're the reason why the Avengers lost the war against Thanos."
*• "Why didn't you calm yourself down when Stark asked you to? Now you've cost the life of half of the world including yourself."
*• "Becoz of this guy we lost ... F**in b**tard"
*• "I literally blame you for everything."
*• "F**k you @prattprattpratt Peter Quill is the reason for half the universe dying. You lost the war, you b**ch ... I'm literally depressed, hope you aren't in GOG 3 [Guardians of the Galaxy 3] ......b**ch."
