More than 1200 celebrities, business leaders, politicians and star-spotting Aussie commoners came together at the black-tie event.
With seats selling for up to US$1000 ($1446) each, guests included Sacha Baron Cohen, John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and Peter Fonda. The event was held to honour Crowe, Naomi Watts and Bindi's dad, the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.
