Aussie duo Emma Powell and Bev Killick have come to New Zealand with "boobs on a mission".
The two well-endowed comedians hope to get Kiwi women to love their breasts just as much as they love their own less-than-perfect ones.
"All us ladies reach a stage where we go from fair maidens to becoming mothers, and our perky little breasts become floppy bits that fall all over the place," says Powell.
"The more we learn to accept and love our less-than-perfect body parts, the more confident we are going to feel about ourselves, and beyond the laughs, that is the message we hope to bring to our fellow ladies in Kiwiland."
Powell, whose mother is former Australian senator and feminist Janet Powell, says it is this serious theme underlying the laughter that has made their boob-show a success back home.
After an 18-month run in Australia, where 200,000 people paid $8 million to see their breasts "singing" to the tune of Abba's Mamma Mia and do tricks such as "the burger" and "the baby" - the playful, fleshy cabaret show Busting Out! opens at Auckland's SkyCity Theatre tonight.
Bev Killick says most of the audience have been women over 35, and that's the way they like it.
"It feels most rewarding when we get grannies coming up after watching us and saying, hey I don't feel bad about my body any more," Killick says.
The ladies will be dedicating tomorrow night's performance as a fundraiser for Starship Foundation, and Thursday's to Breast Cancer Awareness.
