Two of the most popular actors on TV's Shortland Street are taking on a new look.
Pua Magasiva, who plays Nurse Vinnie Krause-Miller, and Jarod Rawiri, Moutere "Mo" Hannah, will don wigs, make-up and bespangled evening wear to join Dragon's Diva Den as special guest female impersonators.
Magasiva will follow in the high heels of brother Robbie, who made a guest appearance in Dragon's Den as part of the Auckland Pride festival.
The show usually takes place as a monthly cabaret-style event at the Basement Theatre.
It was started by performer Bryony Skillington who was working in hospitality, not enjoying it much and thought about what she'd rather do: "It was singing, dancing and dressing up in crazy costumes. That's how I had the idea."
