Arnold Schwarzenegger has undergone surgery in the US to remove a metal plate and cables from his leg, a spokesman said.
They were used to help the California governor's upper thigh bone heal after he broke it while skiing in Idaho last December.
Dr Kevin Ehrhart, who performed the 20-minute surgery, said there were no complications.
