KEY POINTS:
World renowned dance company Tango Fire is returning to New Zealand with a new production that explores the tango's seductive history.
Three performances in Auckland and Wellington will combine the rawness and sophistication of the tango, with duets evoking the glitter and danger of the barrios - where the dance form was born.
Ten of the company's dancers will be accompanied by the musical quartet Quatrotango and musical director Gabriel Clenar.
Audience members at Friday night's show in Wellington will also have the opportunity to take to the stage themselves for a 30-minute pre-performance milonga - a traditional Argentine gathering where people come to dance the tango.
