Outrageous Fortune star Antonia Prebble has been cast in medical thriller The Cure which is due to start filming in Wellington from November 2.
Prebble will play the lead role of Beth, a biochemist who finds that her pharmaceutical company employer has found the cure for cancer but has suppressed the discovery.
The self-funded film by Australian writer director David Gould, who has a background in computer animation and has worked for Weta Digital, also stars local veterans Stephen Lovatt and John Bach as well as Australian Packed to the Rafters star Daniel Lissing as Prebble's biochemist partner.
