She stars as telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse in the drama series which follows the co-existence of humans and vampires in Bon Temps, a fictional, small town in northwestern Louisiana.
Paquin's real-life husband and co-star Stephen Moyer, 44, has even directed her in sex scenes with other actors.
Her husband, who she met on the show, plays the role of her major love interest, dashing vampire-turned-demigod Bill Compton.
The show has also seen Paquin coupled up with cast members including vampire-faerie Warlow (Robert Kazinsky) vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard), and werewolf Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello).

Moyer told Entertainment Weekly: "In a funny way, I feel like - without revealing too much - it's quite interesting for us as a couple because we've kind of gone to places where a lot of people don't get to.
"There are moments where I'll be watching on a monitor [and say], 'Oh, Joe, just move your hand up towards Anna's breast. Good. And can you move your right thumb just a little bit ...? Great.' And then I'll go, 'Babe, babe, enjoy it.' I'm certainly talking to her as babe. 'Darling, go for it.'"
The couple married in 2010 and welcomed twins Charlie and Poppy in 2012.
Meanwhile, the show's composer Nathan Barr has hinted that the show may be turned into a Broadway musical.
He told E! Online: "The story lends itself to a musical. The challenge for us is the minute I thought about True Blood: The Musical, I myself could kind of groan.
"I can see the bad version of that. It's really a matter of finding a way of sort of reinventing it."
