Angella Dravid has won the prestigious Billy T Award for 2017.
Dravid was presented the award at Last Laughs, the final show of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival in which the award is presented alongside a number of others.
The Billy T Award, inspired by Kiwi comedy legend Billy T James, honours an outstanding new comedian and presents them with a $4000 cash grant and a spot on 7 Days among other prizes.
Dravid, who made her solo debut in this year's festival with her show Down the Rabbit Hole, won against fellow nominees Paul Williams, Li'I Alaimoana, Patch Lambert and Ray O'Leary.
