The Amy Winehouse documentary which premiered at Cannes last month is coming to the New Zealand International Film Festival.
The festival has announced Amy - by Asif Kapadia, director of the acclaimed racing car driver biography Senna - as well as four other music titles ahead of the release of the full programme of the July event.
The other music films are Mavis, a film tribute to veteran soul and gospel singer Mavis Staples, who at the age of 75 is still touring and recording after a 60-year career she started with her family group the Staples Singers.
Longtime fans of The Who should find plenty to love in Lambert & Stamp, a doco about the aspiring film-makers who wound up managing the band in the swinging 60s.
And expatriate New Zealand director Virginia Heath's collaboration with prolific Scottish indie folksinger King Creosote on From Scotland with Love matches songs to archival footage for a study in Scottish social history.
