McGlashan is one of New Zealand's most well known singer-songwriters, and his third solo album was writtten in a bach on the Thames Estuary, and recorded at Auckland's Roundhead Studios.
"I thought it was going to be a solitary, quiet record. I wanted to hibernate," McGlashan says. But the music had "other ideas" and became "much more positive and sociable".
