I'm going to go out on a limb and say this compilation proves radio is not dead. With syndicated shows in 17 countries, BBC DJ Gilles Peterson embodies the word influential. And to have someone with his depth of knowledge put together three discs - subtitled Dusk, Dawn, and Twilight - is an absolute pleasure, because you get over three hours of top-notch jazz, groove, funk, hip hop, trip hop, jungle, world music and fusion, without having to do anything yourself. There are a few rarities (The Meditation Singers Trouble's Brewin), occasional surprises like the Joe Remix of Scuba's So You Think You're Special), and classics like Terry Callier's Dancing Girl, put together to create playlists that are like a journey.
