When it comes to the music year that was, the Grammys represent the best, sometimes the worst, and often the plain ridiculous with long-winded categories like best pop performance by a duo or group with vocals.
A nominee in the latter category on this compilation is the Glee Cast for Don't Stop Believin'; meanwhile the worst is ably represented by Train's hollering on Hey, Soul Sister.
However, there are also a crop of great songs like Eminem's Love the Way You Lie, Cee-Lo's Forget You (the clean version of his cheeky hit F*** You), and Ready to Start by Arcade Fire whose The Suburbs is up for album of the year. But come awards day on Sunday, the pressing issue will be who wins best instrumental arrangement accompanying vocalist(s).
