This new EP is a 10-inch vinyl-only release, but don't be put off if you haven't got a record player. It has to be heard, and it's almost worth buying a turntable especially to hear these seven toe-tapping, arse-shaking, head-banging tunes. The Auckland outfit - led by Supergroove frontman and chap of many talents, Karl Steven - deliver more trademark warped and wild alien surf rock that makes you feel good, crazy, and a little mischevious all in one. From the devastating shuffle and fuzz of Grey Matter, to the instrumental title track's eerie spaghetti western-style that gives way to a frenzy of distortion, this is exciting and brilliantly unhinged stuff. And if you're not prepared to fork out for a turntable, they play at Galatos on June 28 along with the Hallelujah Picassos.
