Stars: 4/5
In some form or other this gospel group has been recording for 60-plus years and more recently changed their approach to incorporate contemporary styles. So this triple-disc collection taken from mid-90s sessions - released in advance of their Civic show later this month with Aaron Neville and Mavis Staples - finds them bringing soul, rock'n'roll, a touch of James Brown funk, blues and doo-wop into a joyous mix.
