Verdict: Whole Lotta Mixed Bag

The cover versions on this album of "the greatest guitar classics of all time" are given Santana's lively Latin rock treatment but the many guest vocalists mean the songs range from the rockin', with Chris Cornell of Soundgarden doing a cracking job of Led Zep's Whole Lotta Love, to the awful, like when hip-hopper Nas raps AC/DC's Back in Black (which sounds like one of those messy music award show finales) and the forgettable Smoke on the Water with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach.

A mixed bag.
