Poly Styrene, former front woman for 1970s London punk band X-Ray Spex, died this week of cancer. But before she departed she recorded this cheeky and often fiery punky electronic album. From the throbbing and climactic electro pop single Virtual Boyfriend, to the ragga clash of the title track, and the romantic noise pop of White Gold, this album is a fittingly raunchy, rowdy and staunch nod to one of music's most unique leading ladies.
