The latest MoS double disc offers an international mix of indie hits with a strong Australian flavour - in fact the 41 tracks probably echo a Triple J playlist. Disc One leans towards pop hits and songwriters including Feist, Aloe Blacc, ASA, and Temper Trap. The Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie XX track I'll Take Care Of U stands out for its vitality and poignancy, as does Beach House's Norway. The five remixes are hit and miss: some odd (like the Bibio remix of Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know which turns it from heart-wrenching ballad to weird tropicana hold music), and some brilliant (Architecture in Helsinki's reimagining of Cut Copy's Need You Now takes the vocal line, slows it down and turns it into a cinematic gem). Disc Two is in the lounge/dance/electro camp, more in line with Chillout Sessions' previous ethos.Washed Out, Blood Orange and !!! provide highlights, but this disc has more of a linear DJ mix flow to it.
