Stars: 3.5/5
It is fair to say that this album is aptly named. Gamine Frenchie-turned-Tucson tornado sings with wild abandon and seems untied to both her French-born, American-raised roots. Floating somewhere between the two cultures, this sophomore album is punk-meets-folk is gritty, energetic and, probably because of the husky French vocals, incredibly sexy. It is deeply reminiscent of French chanson of the 70s and 80s but also Tucson band Calexico, with whom Dissard has collaborated in the past.
