The country rocker teams up again with producer T. Bone Burnett on a beautifully laid-back and yet gritty set about life, love, and, on the meandering banjo-driven Easter Eve, fighting. Recording at various historic US studios (including Sun in Memphis), the 58-year-old has never sounded better than on Right Behind Me, and the title track is a stomper.
