Local folkie Flip Grater may hide behind a thick fringe, but she doesn't let anything shroud her hurt feelings in this honest, chokingly sad acoustic album. Alt-country attitude oozes through I Am Gone, but elsewhere the minimalist, raw, and at times, twee album sounds like a delicately crafted box of frayed emotions made of organic, free range, fair trade fibre.
