Elbow, the winners of Britain's Mercury Prize in 2008 for album The Seldom Seen Kid, return with another accomplished and moody rock album. Led by singer Guy Garvey, there is no denying the exquisite orchestration and arranging of these songs, be it the spare vocal-driven With Love, the complex grandeur of High Ideals, or the gritty emotion of dramatic eight-minute opener The Birds.
