Verdict: They know what works

More bullish, slamming and slick mainstream metal from veteran Chicago band Disturbed who are - aside from Metallica - arguably the most popular metal act among New Zealanders which is why this album, like their previous release, debuted at No 1 this week.

You have to give it to them, they know the formula that works for them: melodic, heavy, and harrowing, especially on the angry groove of Warrior and serenading epic Serpentine.
