Tracing a fine line between being twee and elegant, the quartet now-sextet of classical players who back fellow Icelanders Sigur Ros have produced a cool balm for busy eardrums with this, their second long-player.
Without being so cutesy it grates, it chimes like an antique trinket box; without being so organic it is tiresome, it evokes the crispness of a dewy garden.
Lyrics take a back seat and, fluttering and buzzing like little bugs under observation, the tunes open even the most serious listeners to an intoxicating fantasy.
