The queen of punk cabaret has a knack for turning Tasmania into a metaphor for a certain body part and comparing Marmite to cancer on toast. Palmer may be American, and better known for founding the Dresden Dolls but her wry observations of Australia and New Zealand may earn her an honorary patriotism in this part of the world.
