Alan Thicke's chilling final warning from celebrity psychic

Veteran Growing Pains actor Alan Thicke filmed a session with a TV psychic just three months before he died - and was given an eerie warning about his health.

Thicke died in March aged 69, collapsing while playing hockey with his son in Los Angeles.

His cause of death: type-A aortic dissection, a tear inside the heart most common in those with high blood pressure.

In a segment with Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry filmed three months before his death that will finally air this week, a sceptical-looking Thicke is seen receiving a stern health warning.

"I have to talk about heath. For the men in your family, blood pressure is something to keep in mind. Heart issues happen to men, it's not uncommon, but ... when it comes to a family perspective, within your family there might be multiple men who deal with blood pressure but also with heart issues. A heart murmur or a heart arrhythmia - a heart [issue] that correlates with blood pressure," Henry told the actor.

"Keep in mind your own heart, because there is a man who's very stubborn who passed away and he acknowledges dying as a result of this heart problem. His message is: Don't be stubborn like I was. This is something that could have been treatable, had he just known about it.

Be proactive in your health, don't do what I didn't, is the message."

Thicke responded that he had "a history of heart disease in the family, with the exception of my sister who had open heart surgery."

The star's widow Tanya Thicke appears in the episode, reflecting emotionally about her husband's death.

She explained that she and her husband did discuss Henry's warning after the reading, and it prompted Thicke to get a full physical check-up, as the couple were "planning on having a baby together."

"He had the cleanest health bill," she said.
