Police have filed several charges against hip-hop star Akon for tossing a teenager off the stage on to another spectator who said she suffered a concussion as a result.
The charges stem from an incident in June at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, about 120km north of New York City, after a security guard pushed on to the stage a 15-year-old who had allegedly thrown something at the singer.
Akon then hoisted him onto his shoulders and flung him into the crowd.
