Teenage girls scream with delight in his presence, but an adult passenger on Justin Bieber's flight out of Auckland was reported to be so unimpressed with the star's behaviour she gave him a piece of her mind.
American show-biz website TMZ reported that drama unfolded on the 12-hour Air New Zealand flight because Bieber, 18, was talking loudly and using foul language.
It said a fellow passenger told the star: "Stop yelling curse words and using that kind of language on a plane. It's not appropriate."
Bieber reportedly apologised and was embarrassed by her outburst.
Air NZ would not comment on the incident.
