KEY POINTS:
Christina Aguilera has arrived in New Zealand and will perform in Auckland tonight despite fighting a chest infection that forced her to cancel two Australian concerts.
A representative from Aguilera's record company, Sony BMG, has confirmed she is well enough to perform at the final two concerts on her Back to Basics world tour tonight and tomorrow night at Auckland's Vector Arena.
The singer, who is believed to be several months pregnant, cancelled both scheduled concerts in Melbourne at the weekend, blaming a severe case of the flu.
Fans heading to the shows in Auckland can expect to see an energetic performance from the pint-sized pop star judging from reviews in the Australian press.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the star's pregnancy does little to slow the "breathlessly energetic, senses-frazzling live spectacular".
"Everything from the choreography to the outfits is as sharp and crisp as the music and, on the whole, a startlingly high standard is maintained," the paper said of her recent Sydney show.
Aguilera is accompanied on stage by a troupe of back-up dancers and a 12-piece band, and has been performing all of her biggest hits, bar her Grammy winning debut single Genie In A Bottle.
