The Adventures of Superman actor Jack Larson has died at the age of 87.
Larson died at his home in Brentwood, California on Sunday.
The actor made his screen debut in 1948 war film Fighter Squadron and landed his big break in the 1950s superhero comic book series as photographer Jimmy Olsen.
Larson struggled to find other acting work after the series ended its six-year run in 1958 and chose, instead, to step behind the camera and established himself as a producer/playwright.
