Daniel Baldwin, 46, opened up about his cocaine addiction in 19 confessional video diaries, taped at various stages of his three-month rehab treatment, and shown on US TV this week.
Baldwin, brother of actors William, Stephen and Alec Baldwin, allowed cameras to chart his progress through a three-month drug treatment programme in Malibu.
Last year, police said they found Baldwin and and another man in a Santa Monica motel with cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Prosecutors declined to file felony charges.
"It's difficult to look into this camera," Baldwin said. "It's difficult to talk about, you know, my inadequacies, my inability to stay sober when I'm a relatively bright man and I've had a lot of great blessings and a lot of great opportunities."
