An all-female version of Sylvester Stallone's Expendables movies is planned with an all-star cast of action woman being lined up to star.
Variety reports the script is being written by Dutch Southern and the production company is "in talks with several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre"
NME.com suggested actresses being spoken to included Kill Bill's Uma Thurman, Alien's Sigourney Weaver, Terminator's Linda Hamilton and Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich.
The Expendables starred Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren and was a hit in 2010. The sequel, released earlier this month and featuring an appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is proving to be just as popular.
A third film is planned, with appearances by Nicolas Cage, Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford, NME.com reported.
