A cloud of fireworks erupted around the stage, Angus Young began his one-legged bunny hop and didn't stop moving for the next two-and-a-half hours.
The sound of Aussie rockers AC/DC's concert at Western Springs tonight can be heard far across Auckland.
The legendary band's Auckland show - part of their Rock or Bust world tour - followed a performance in Wellington that was plagued by technical problems due to a capital gale, but endedwith rave reviews.
The noise levels at their concert tonight proved there were no such troubles - and those living nearby, and further afield, didn't even need to buy a ticket.
People on Twitter from as far away as Devonport reported that they could hear the show.
"What? Can I hear #ACDC in Devonport? Or is it the builders down the road having a beer?" they tweeted.
"BREAKING: Twitter surprised to learn AC/DC play music quite loud."However, not everyone enjoyed it though: "Can hear #ACDC super obnoxiously loud from my house. In Freeman's Bay. #makeitstop."
