The first day of New Zealand Music Month in May is a busy one, especially for OpShop who have commandeered their own plane and are playing 10 shows in one day.
The 10th annual month-long extravaganza of local music will celebrate the first decade with 10 diverse gigs around the country on May 1, from the Jordan Luck Band in the Far North and Nesian Mystik in Manukau to Dave Dobbyn talking about his songs in Wellington, pop duo Kids of 88 down south in Queenstown and rowdy trio Die!Die!Die! in Dunedin.
OpShop's 10-show extravaganza will take them to weird and wonderful places all over New Zealand.
To make things more special, a select number of the band's biggest fans can join them on the flight - so stay tuned to nzmusicmonth.co.nz for the schedule and how to score yourself a seat.
And if you thought OpShop's effort was a top one - then hardy perennial Jordan Luck plans on showing these young bucks a thing or two by playing a show every day of NZ Music Month.
