KEY POINTS:
The funniest bloke to do musical comedy before those other guys came along is heading to New Zealand in August.
British comedian Bill Bailey performs his Tinselworm show at Auckland's ASB Theatre on August 31. He will also perform in Wellington and Christchurch.
Perhaps best known to New Zealand audiences as Manny Bianco in cult TV show Black Books alongside fellow comedian Dylan Moran, Bailey is also one of the best stand-ups around. Not to mention one of the most rock 'n' roll.
Tinselworm is made up of musical parodies and anecdotes, although it has to be said, he will be hard-pressed to match his earlier incarnations. Tickets on sale Monday from www.the-edge.co.nz
Meanwhile, fellow British comedian and entertainer Lenny Henry returns to New Zealand with his new show Where You From?, which is a mix of stand up, music, and unexpected tangents.
He performs at the Aotea Centre in Auckland on July 28.
