Spare a thought for Auckland film-maker Andy Conlan, whose first feature film, The Last Magic Show, has its worldwide debut in Hollywood today (NZ time).
The film, about a heartbroken escape artist who believes he has magical powers, was selected to compete at the Dances with Films festival, dedicated to discovering new film-making talent.
Conlan, the writer/illustrator behind the Strumming Teeth comics, stars as the main character Ronny, alongside Kiwi actors Michael Hurst, Jade Collins, Matthew Sunderland and Lucy Wigmore.
