N.E.R.D. - the band featuring mega music producer Pharrell Williams - have cancelled their show at Vector Arena next month.
The official word from promoters Future Entertainment was that the band were no longer able to perform on February 26 because of recording commitments. However, TimeOut has learned ticket sales to the show were low and the band is still playing a string of shows in Australia from February 28 as part of the Future Music Festival alongside Basement Jaxx and Brazilian party band CSS.
It continues the notorious tradition of hip-hop and R&B acts cancelling shows in New Zealand - the most recent being hip-hop queen Mary J. Blige last year. Full ticket refunds are available from Ticketmaster.
