Ten years since their last dazzling performance in Auckland, where they danced to the music of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the Sydney Dance Company returns in November with 2 One Another, a fusion of dance, language, sound and light from artistic director Rafael Bonachela. The production features 16 dancers.
"Bonachela's latest work for the Sydney Dance Company is his best since he became artistic director," says the Sydney Morning Herald. "This time he has harnessed the strength and skills of the dancers in a thrillingly fluent piece."
Set against a pixelated backdrop, the 65-minute work has a driving, baroque-meets-electronica soundtrack by composer Nick Wales, interwoven with poetry fragments by Samuel Webster.
Pre-sale tickets are available on Monday; public sales from Tuesday.
