To celebrate Barkers' new sponsorship of the sessions hosted by Hugh Sundae, their flagship Lambton Quay store was transformed into a studio one night in December. Here's a run-down on the latest act ...
Who: Sheep, Dog & Wolf
From: Auckland, moved to Wellington for studies but staying a while longer.
Line-up: Sheep, Dog & Wolf is Daniel McBride, writing and recording all of the music himself. For live performances he brings in drummer Eddie Crawshaw, while Daniel concentrates on vocals, guitar, bass, saxophone, clarinet, and cello.
Where they're at: Released the five-track Ablutophobia EP in 2011 and debut album Egospect in August last year. Has toured European music festivals and last year won the Critics' Choice Prize at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards. Currently working on second album and expanding band.
