1D star Zayn Malik puts wedding on hold

British pop star Zayn Malik has postponed plans to wed his fiancee Perrie Edwards in 2015 because his tour commitments with One Direction will keep him on the road for most of the year.

Malik and Edwards got engaged in 2013 after two years of dating. But their hopes of becoming husband and wife in 2015 have been scuppered by their busy schedules.

However, Edwards, a member of UK girl band Little Mix, insists she has no problem with the delay and is taking it all in her stride.

"We have no idea (when we will wed). We're just going with the flow, we're just happy to be engaged and enjoying it ... We'll get there eventually when we're not too busy to make it perfect," Edwards says.

Earlier this year, the couple was forced to dismiss rumours suggesting the stars had secretly tied the knot, after Malik shared a snap of himself online wearing a new band on his ring finger.

One Direction are set to kick off their On The Road Again world tour in Australia in February , before heading to countries including Japan, South Africa, Finland, Austria, America and Canada.

They will return to the UK and Ireland for the final leg of the tour in October.
