One Direction's bouncers vet pictures of girls to hand pick the ones they think should party with the band based on their good looks, fans have claimed.
One Australian fan has described the selection process she took part in, in which groups of One Direction fans put themselves forward for parties.
Sending pics to their security team via text message or through the picture app Snapchat is the first step many teenage girls take to get closer to the heartthrobs.
One young woman who partied with them, identified as Anna, 19, from Australia was quoted by the Sunday Mirror as saying she was asked by 1D bouncers to find a group of young women to be vetted.
"I feel pretty naive about it now," she said. "It's pretty obvious what has been going on."
Thomlinson was also pictured partying in Hollywood with more girls and bouncers.
Zayn Malik, who made his shock departure from One Direction last month, was linked to one partygoer, Lauren Richardson, 19, who was invited to a pool party in a Phuket villa after a concert, hosted by the band.
Anna, from Australia, explained how security heavies pick pretty girls at concerts and clubs and then ask for their contact details.
Then, often at a later date, the girls are asked to send pictures of whole groups of their friends.
Pictures of girls who are not attractive enough do not make the cut but those who do may then be picked up by private hire cars and then taken to a party with the band as part of their entourage.
Anna said she was put in touch with One Direction by a friend who first met the band in 2014.
When 1D later returned to Australia, bouncers got in touch with her.
She described her exchanges with the security team as 'blunt' and explained that they kept lists of girls from all around the world using nicknames to describe them.
Eventually Anna and three of her friends were taken to go to the band's house outside Melbourne. A blacked out car was sent to pick them up from a hotel and a member of the security team accompanied them and took their phones.
"It was all very well organised and deliberately discreet," she said.
The girls were told they could not be seen with the bouncers in the lobby or leaving the hotel.
They met up with another group of three girls who told a similar story.
Anna said the following day security called them asking for a group of 20 girls for another party which they were told Zayn, Louis and Niall would be attending.
She said they were "pushy about getting pictures" but that the party never happened.
Zayn, who recently left the band, and Louis have both denied cheating on partners. Louis said he had split with ex Eleanor Calder shortly before he was seen kissing a girl in a Thai swimming pool.
