Fish in the percolator
Special Agent Cooper was adamant that Twin Peaks had some damn fine cherry pie and coffee, but sometimes, there might just be a fish in the percolator, and there won't be any explanation for its presence there.

Getting groovy in the Black Lodge
The Black Lodge is a strange, incomprehensible place outside time and space, but there is still groovy music in the air, and a dwarf who is always ready to get down and get funky, when he isn't spouting enigmatic backwards-talk.
###
A killer revealed
Twin Peaks was full of quirky laughs, but wasn't afraid to go to dark places, and took a sharp turn deep into the blackness when the killer of Laura Palmer was revealed and murdered Laura's look-alike cousin, before caving in his own skull on the wall.
###
Dale Cooper, zen detective
Desperate to unravel what his own subconscious is trying to tell him, Special Agent Cooper uses a combination of Tibetan philosophy and random rocks to try and crack the case, and it even works. And a bonus point for the bit where Deputy Andy cops one on the forehead.
###
'Albert's path is a strange and difficult one'
Cooper's fellow FBI agent Albert Rosenfeld is a massive jerk, refusing to co-operate with the local lawmen and getting right up their noses. But when he is finally called out on it, he floors them all by revealing he walks the path of non-violence and he "rejects absolutely revenge, aggression and retaliation" on a foundation of love. In Twin Peaks, even the biggest arseholes have hidden depths.
###
Bob is in the bedroom
Laura's mother is almost comatose with grief after the murder, and is lying on the sofa, when she has a vision of Bob, the malevolent force at the heart of the story, crouching behind her dead daughter's bed. It's the ultimate jump moment of the series, as the bizarre killer from another world crashes into a teenaged girl's bedroom.
###
In the nightclub
The Fire Walk With Me movie had lots of strange little moments, including David Bowie materialising out of thin air, but the trip to The Pink Room and the music that is so extraordinarily loud the movie needs subtitles, is an intense and vibrant glimpse into the town's seedy, noisy underbelly.
###
Cooper shot down
Special Agent Cooper is shot by an unknown assailant, and his only hope is the world's slowest and oldest room service guy. It doesn't look good for Coop, but he maintains a positive attitude in the face of imminent oblivion.
###
A smashing cliffhanger
The series ended with Dale Cooper trapped in the Black Lodge, and his body possessed by the evil spirit Bob, smashing his face into a bathroom mirror and laughing manically as the blood drips down his forehead. It's a painful cliffhanger that has been left unresolved for more than two decades - until now.
