The venison is from a deer we shot while hunting on my parents farm. The recipe adds lots of vegetables and a sauce sachet that really enhances the flavour of the venison. I love using lentils to bulk out the meal.
Ingredients
1 bag | Venison leg steak (Main) |
1 sachet | Mild curry powder, I used McCormick's Mild Indian Beef Curry |
1 | Onion |
2 | Potatoes |
1 | Kumara |
1 ½ cups | Frozen mixed stir-fry vegetables |
1 can | Lentils |
1 can | Coconut cream |
Directions
- Cut up everything that needs cutting up - vension, onion, potatoes, kumara. Stick in a casserole dish with everything else.
- Cook in oven on fan bake 150 for two hours.
- Cool for 10 minutes out of the oven. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
