This bake was a home made recipe I created for cold wintery nights. I love the simplicity of the pasta bake with a flavour hit from the venison salami. You can easily substitute the salami for a different meat of your choice.
Ingredients
1 large handful | Salami, I use venison (Main) |
1 whole | Red onion |
4 cloves | Garlic |
1 large bunch | Silverbeet |
1 can | Chopped tomatoes |
½ cup | Kalamata olives |
1 bag | Pasta spirals, I use GF |
½ cup | Grated colby cheese |
1 sprinkle | Panko breadcrumbs |
Directions
- Fry onions, finely chopped salami and garlic in oil.
- Add roughly chopped silverbeet, canned tomato and olives. Simmer while your pasta is cooking.
- Bring a large pot of water to the boil, add pasta and cook for 7-8 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and stir the tomato sauce mixture into it. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into oven proof dish and sprinkle with panko bread crumbs. Top generously with cheese and grill for 10-15 minutes at 180'
