This recipe was created on a whim the first time I introduced my parents to my partner. I made sliders for all and one of the combinations was this delicious venison, bacon and mushroom mix with plum and tomato sauce. It went down a treat and made the 'introduction' that much easier.
Ingredients
500 g | Venison mince (Main) |
2 rashers | Streaky bacon (Main) |
200 g | Portobello mushrooms (Main) |
1 cup | Plum sauce |
1 cup | Tomato sauce |
6 | Slider buns |
1 | Onions |
1 | Egg |
1 cup | Breadcrumbs |
2 dashes | Worcestershire sauce |
1 clove | Garlic |
Directions
- Chop onions, beat egg and mix with venison mince. Add seasoning and a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Mix with breadcrumbs and make into small patties.
- Fry bacon. Once cooked remove from pan and add butter. Add mushrooms, garlic and another dash of Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.
- To make plum sauce add plum sauce to tomato sauce and mix well.
- Cook patties by preferred method (BBQ is best) and assemble burgers using desired salad, cheese, and other condiments.
